Widely celebrated for her skills throughout the Duchy, Tamsin Blee, the infamous 'Witch of the West' is recognised as Cornwall's most successful wisewomen, yet little is know of her life. For centuries, the cunning folk, the white witches or pellars of Cornwall, were widely consulted and provided a range of services, from lifting curses and undoing the Maleficia of witches, to offering cures, charms, and divination.
This documentary from DIP details Tamsin Blee's humble beginings in the mining district of Gwennap and reveals how, through her skill and knowlege of the 'craft' she became known and respected throughout the Duchy. The film was screened at the 2010 Cornish Film Festival.
