Our documentary series 'Beneath a Mackerel Sky' provides a resident's-eye view of living and working in Cornwall.

  • In the first episode, Martin Hunt takes us on a personal tour of his Kernow and how, from being a surfer in the 1960s, he developed his love of the Cornish countryside and coast.
  • Episode 2 takes a tour of Neil and Jo Reed's garden and their preparation as they open for the first time for the National Garden Scheme in aid of charity.
  • Episode 3 introduces Lisa Harrison, one of only a few female blacksmiths.
  • Episode 4 profiles Helston blues violinist Dave Sugarbeet.
  • Episode 5 visits the Helston Railway Preservation Company at Trevarno.
  • Episode 6 meets Kez Salmon and profiles the RedYOUth Community and Youth Group.
  • Episode 7 profiles the work of photographer Phil Nicholls and his fascination with a forgotten Victorian photographer.
  • Episode 8 follows Rory MacPheen and Janet McEwan as they create a currach.
  • Episode 9 features Penzance resident Rosalie Ginn and the popular jive club she hosts in Redruth.
  • Episode 10 profiles the work of the abstract artist Jemery Annear.
