Dead Interesting Productions

The company was founded in 2005 by media expert Emlyn Harris. Emlyn had worked in a variety of occupations; plumbers mate, civil servant and tin miner, before training as an actor at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School. In a career encompassing more than twenty years his roles on stage, television and radio, have been numerous and diverse with appearances for the RSC and starring roles in the West End.
His writing credits include the acclaimed BBC radio drama series 'The Sexton’s Tales' and the documentary feature 'The Rank School of Charmers'.
As a theatre director he has worked at the Arts Theatre, Cambridge and The Connaught Theatre, Worthing.

Twenty episodes and two Christmas specials of 'The Sexton’s Tales' were broadcast by the BBC between 1996 and 1999. The tales starred veteran actor George Cole as the gravedigger of London's Highgate Cemetery and featured guest appearances from Warren Mitchell, Ellie Haddington and Ian Lavender.
Emlyn originally created the series while a volunteer tour guide for the charity, The Friends of Highgate Cemetery.  His detailed research into the cemetery at the British Library revealed an extraordinary wealth of true-life stories, never before broadcast, which formed the basis to the series.

The Sexton’s Tales companion website, created by Emlyn in 1996, won the award for the UK’s Best Personal Website in the first ever internet awards hosted a BAFTA. Since then, Emlyn has worked in the new media industry as a multimedia producer/director, designer and consultant.
